Smile Greig :-) .iso doesn't stand for anything. its just a common label given to a cd image file. nero by default uses nrg, and there are others too, but they are just an image of the file. and iso is the most common one you will find. However the name iso was derived form the standards organization label ISO-9660 which is the rules governing the most common method of storing data on a cd.
