Well, now we know: <http://arstechnica.com/information-technology/2015/04/30/microsoft-bringing-windows-10-to-arduino-with-open-source-libraries/>: Microsoft will be offering “Windows 10 IoT Core” for the Raspberry π 2. This is not a full OS like Linux: it is some kind of cut-down slave OS that you have to control remotely from a Windows box.
