Kubuntu = Ubuntu with a kde desktop manager. Right?? Regards John Btw I got kicked out of the states so am looking forward to attending the next meeting JT ----- Original Message Follows -----

Hey all I had a problem with the "simple" install of Ubuntu Hoary which I thought was due to me not paying attention to the partitioning thus not including a swap space. Would suggest you start again with a clean slate. Use Knoppix and QtParted to wipe current data and to create a swap partition. I have just put up a HowTo @ http://www.wlug.org.nz/UbuntuKbuntuInstall
