The public comment period for proposed amendments to the Patents Act expired on March 11, “so a meeting is now the best way we have of communicating with the politicians and telling them what the issues are,” says NZOSS president Peter Harrison. Funding application

>From time to time, the WLUG will apply for funding from community organisations such as Trust Waikato and the Sky City Trust. Funding applications need to be for a specific project, normally for the purchase of physical items, with a prepared budget, and not just for general expenses. Hi Folks. I decided to donate some bucks to the Mozilla Foundation and in the process bought a Firefox/Thunderbird Guide & CD and a Firefox poster. I don't need them so I thought I'd donate them to the WLUG. Perhaps the poster can be displayed somewhere prominently at Waikato Uni in an effort to encourage Firefox adoption. Where do I send them?
