I have a variety of PC bits floating around in my shed. I've got a dumb terminal or two, a couple of AT cases & PSUs with 486SX's and 30 pin RAM in them, a 120mb HDD in my drawer, and they're all taking up space that I'm going to need to free sometime soon. Free to a good home. Email off list if you want anything (Someone, please... ) There's almost enough guts here for someones first Linux router, although I'm sure you could pick up a Pentium class machine for about the same price. Might also be good for smashing. BTW, have I missed the radio club's sale day? Craig

Kspread sheets

Hi, My name is Cindy. I am curious as to the difference between linex kspreadshets and windows excel spreadsheets. In excel you can freeze frames, can you do this in linex? I have tried the help thingie, but cant get direction like I can with excel? Should I give up? Can anyone there help me? Cindy alias Desperate

I briefly switched to cups and didn't think it was as well supported, I didn't like it and went back to lprng. lprng does page counting by default, though I'd find it much more useful if it accounted for the ink used as paper costs nothing in comparison... Thank you to all those who offered suggestions on this subject. I have got permission from the local admin to use their SMTP server when not at home. When at home I can either use the ISP's server or set up my own. So all is now well. Now I just gotta figure out Mutt... looks good though. Paul.

Hi all Hey long time no see.. great to see all the development going on and the excellent wlug wiki web pages! Easy to navigate ones way around.. I would like to get a recent copy of Red Hat or Mandrake off someone to set up at home and work if poss.. would be cool.. Also.. does anybody know or worked with a distro called RTLinux... for real time programming stuff. - possibilities for where I work :) Cheers Simon

It does not appear to. But we can't expect too much for version 1.0.x Does evolution not automagically d/l keys on demand? Hmm, perhaps I should clarify this. Could still boot original install of Debian. cp /etc/* /mnt/hdb1/etc/ (with recursion option on -r or -R ...I forget) ^^^^win98 install with spare space. Re-install - everything on ext2 partitions. cp -f /mnt/hdb1/etc/* /etc/ problems begin... --- I have been thinking since my initial post. Another re-install will be the least troublesome way to remedy this. I was hoping to fix it the tricky way but that doesn't seem to have served well so far. :-) Oh well, a lesson learned. Fortunately I found a utility (now where did I put that...) to read ext2 partitions from windows so all that apt-get over modem is not wasted.
