Ubuntu 5.10 Image

Hi all, As you may or may not know, Ubuntu 5.10 was released last week and I have been trying to download it - unsuccessfully! Yip, I'm still on dialup :-(( Are there any good samaratons out there (in Hamilton) that could supply me with a copy of the i386 release iso (ubuntu-5.10-install-i386.iso)? Thanks, Ivan

(OT) Paid work for students or anyone

Dear list, I have two problems that I will pay to have fixed 1. I have a IR device that works with Windows to upload data. Using Linc record or IrDa-utils I need to capture the data similar to a package sniffer and make it readable in Linux. http://www.lirc.org/ irda.sourceforge.net/ 2. Openemr is a medical patients system and billing system. I would like to hear from anyone to build a Debian package using Sarge. D-Link 504G Router and Ubuntu Hoary

I have got the router working with WinXP as well as my Ubuntu box however it stopped working on my Linux Box and I suspect it may be a wiring problem is there any way to test the network so I can eliminate software as a cause.

Weird power

Just an inquisitive question. My UPS seemed to go mental last night/this morning (around midnight Sat Oct 1st) flicking between battery and mains repeatedly for a few hours.. But no flickering lights or anything.. Im wondering if anyone else had something similar? Im assuming it may have been the power company doing something weird re: daylight savings? Kyle Carter
