Hi, guis,
As a newbe-to-nominal Linux user am delighted by (live) Knoppix 6.4: it sees Windows' FAT32 partitions by a mere click on its interface and can save files on C:\ without any fuss.
Connecting to Broadband is automatic; as fast as in Windows or faster. Such connection seems to mean avoiding known Windows' prerogatives (plus unknown ones) and it may also be possible skirting Windows by saving files of a dedicated DOS partition.
Ditar.
