Hi All, I configured cairo successfully, but when I do make, it gives the foll errors : cairo-scaled-font-subsets.c: In function '_cairo_scaled_font_subset_create_glyph_names': cairo-scaled-font-subsets.c:1015: error: implicit declaration of function '_cairo_utf8_to_utf16' cairo-scaled-font-subsets.c:1015: warning: nested extern declaration of '_cairo_utf8_to_utf16' make[3]: *** [cairo-scaled-font-subsets.lo] Error 1 make[3]: Leaving directory `/root/playhome/cairo-1.8.10/src' Any ideas why? http://peppermintos.com/ It has some lineage with Linux Mint http://linuxmint.com/ Peppermint is linux distro aimed at those users who like to use web apps and 'the cloud' for more of their computing needs. I've had a little play with it in a virtual machine and it boots pretty fast. Those with netbooks might like it Chris.

Linux installation server

Hi i want to setup a linux installation server for quick build of linux machines in network. what i found on google was Kickstart and cobbler. https://fedorahosted.org/cobbler/ http://www.linux-mag.com/id/6747/ Can someone please suggest best way to automate the installation. Have anyone test cobbler, please give reviews. Best Regards --N

Software Freedom Day 2010

Cairo cross compile

Hi All, I am trying to cross compile GTK+ in hawkboard (www.hawkboard.org) I have already cross compiled the following successfully for hawkboard: atk fontconfig freetype glib libxml2 pixman Now when I try to cross compile cairo, configure gives the following error: configure: error: Cairo requires at least one font backend. Hi I have been give a bunch of Tennyson SOX model 370 handsets to figure out how they work..... lol ... Does anyone have a manual for them or any technical info ? Perhaps we can arrange a computer or two to demonstrate (or even tutor) how general public can make use of FLOSS in their daily life/work? For instance, use the GIMP or Inkscape to draw some pictures/icons and edit their photographs (somewhat like street performance so as to attract people to come over SFD).
