The WLUG meeting is this evening ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Introduction to Linux and Network Security. A fairly high-level discussion of various aspects of security, looking at topics such as: * Firewalls * Network Address Translation ([NAT]) * De-militirized zones ([DMZ]s) * Virtual Private Networks ([VPN]s) and [IPSec] * Secure Sockets Layer ([SSL]) Location: CrawshawSchool Time: 7pm Doors will be open from ten to seven or so, presentation will start shortly after 7.

Peer to peer?

I was hoping to get a file sharing program then Try Gnutella for some mpeg/ogg files. What application should I use for this and can I "yum install <nameofapp>" and join the file share deal? Regards John

Thank you for explaining kvm. My interest is mainly in the hard drive install, I have a live c/d version of Knoppix. Thanks Aristotle, I did read that page prior to writing and note the comments. I was however hoping they were a little out of date and/or some more people had become interested in ver 9.1 as the thread implied. Hey Gund, I loaded SuSE onto my desktop here at Uni. What an awesome distro... Very easy to load up. The latest firmware (Rel9v4 & Rel9v5) defaults DSE ADSL Routers (XH79156, XH1149 & XH1169) to log on to Jetstreamgames by default. If you are using one of these firmware versions, simply choose the 'restore factory settings' option. Regards, Chis Day - DSE(NZ)Ltd.
